Campaign against expanded domain names scores PR win

Internet naming corporation still plans to begin taking hundreds of applications for new ‘generic’ web addresses in January. In just a few months of intense lobbying, a coalition of trade groups and global advertisers has accomplished at least one of its goals: ratcheting up the pressure on the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.
